Just a kilometre from the pretty 12th century village of Cugnoli there is a beautiful characteristic country house overlooking the Maiella mountain range.
It is surrounded by a plot of land over a surface area of 8,000 square metres. The land includes an oak wood, productive olive and fruit trees, a well-maintained vegetable garden and a mature garden with fragrant flowers making this a special residence.
The farmhouse which has been recently restored covers a surface area of 250 square metres on two floors. Accommodation includes:
BASEMENT/GROUND FLOOR - a spacious tavern with fireplace and fitted kitchen that has French windows opening on to an outdoor area. The outdoor seating area, under the porch, overlooks the stunning countryside and the mountains. The tavern opens and thence to a sitting room with a wood burning fire. A very large hallway and bathroom complete the floor. The large French windows bring light to the south-facing rooms and open onto the paved courtyard surrounding the house.
An internal wooden staircase leads to the
FIRST FLOOR - three double bedrooms and two bathrooms, a corridor, hallway and a further kitchen/dining room. Two terraces which are south facing add extra living space to be shared with friends or read in the sun and enjoy the spectacular scenery of the surrounding mountains and countryside.
The house has been beautifully restored in every small detail and keeps the architectural features of an early 20th century farmhouse, where the old stables have been converted into living spaces and show the vaulted ceilings with exposed sandblasted bricks. The original windows and doors have been carefully restored. The magical atmosphere of old times is preciously preserved in this house.
The house has a heating system, two fireplaces and an LPG fired boiler.
It is possible to get to the house by a comfortable road and private parking is above the house.
