In the historical centre of Torre De' Passeri, situated half way between the mountains and coast, there are two individual elements in an old palace. They are connected but have two separate entrances.
The main unit is about 100 sqm and comprises:
Entrance is through an internal staircase which goes from the ground floor to the first floor. There is a kitchen, living room with balconies and service bathroom. The second floor is linked by an internal staircase and has, 2 bedrooms with balconies, bathroom and roof access.
From one of the bedrooms, through a corridor and balcony there is access to the other little unit. This is also accessible through an independent door and consists of a corner kitchen with fireplace, bedroom and bathroom.
TORRE DE’ PASSERI - PESCARA PROVINCE
Torre is one of the larger towns in the area with delightful views of the surrounding mountains. The town is located near the River Pescara at 172 metres above sea level. It is dominated by the 18th Century Palazzo Mazzara and Gizzi Castle which houses the Dante Gallery containing books, prints and other miscellaneous articles relating to Dante’s Divine Comedy.
The 3,095 inhabitants have lots of facilities to take advantage of including banks, post offices, chemists, petrol stations, shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. There is a weekly market, each Saturday morning, selling produce from the local area.
One of the year’s important events is the festival of ‘arrosticini’ or lamb skewers, held each July.
