In the historic centre of Torre De’ Passeri is this property with separate tavern/cellar and various store rooms.
The main property, accessible by an external staircase, has a kitchen with fireplace, dining room and a mezzanine terrace with storage. On the same floor is a large bedroom and bathroom.
To the other side of the property, with a separate entrance, there is a large tavern with fireplace and other rooms used as cellars.
The property needs some cosmetic work to bring it up to modern standards.
TORRE DE’ PASSERI - PESCARA PROVINCE
Torre is one of the larger towns in the area with delightful views of the surrounding mountains. The town is located near the River Pescara at 172 metres above sea level. It is dominated by the 18th Century Palazzo Mazzara and Gizzi Castle which houses the Dante Gallery containing books, prints and other miscellaneous articles relating to Dante’s Divine Comedy.
The 3,095 inhabitants have lots of facilities to take advantage of including banks, post offices, chemists, petrol stations, shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. There is a weekly market, each Saturday morning, selling produce from the local area.
One of the year’s important events is the festival of ‘arrosticini’ or lamb skewers, held each July.
