ARIELLI - CHIETI PROVINCE
The village is situated on a hill, located between the Majella and the Adriatic Sea and close to the springs of Arielli. It is 295 metres above sea level and has a population of 1,141.
Historically, Arielli was fist mentioned in documents dating from 12th Century but unfortunately much of the old centre was seriously damaged during World War II. Some of the buildings, however, have been rebuilt or restored. The village is surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and fields, cultivated with vegetables.
Arielli has a post office, some specialist food shops, bars and restaurants.
