CANOSA SANNITA - CHIETI PROVINCE
An attractive village, just a few kilometres from the Adriatic Coast and Miglianico Golf & Country Club. It is found at 231 metres above sea level, on a hill slope between the Sant’Onofrio and Venna rivers. The local economy is based on agriculture with the cultivation of vines, olives and fruit trees which can be seen growing in fields all around the town.
During the 13th and 14th centuries Canosa Sannita one belonged to the monastery of San Pietro in Campis but the village was damaged during World War II and extensively rebuilt following the conflict.
With a population of 1,328 there are a number of facilities including food shops, bank, pharmacy, post office and restaurants. There is also a weekly market.
