The town’s history can be traced to ancient Roman times and the sanctuary of the Madonna della Libera is worth visiting. The front is embellished with a majolica panel.
The 930 inhabitants can use the local food shops, post office, doctor’s surgery, pharmacy, bar/trattoria and café. There is even a chilli festival to look forward to, each August.
Filetto is a good place to live being just 40 minutes to the coast, airport and ski resort of Passo Lanciano.
