The Fulgenzi family produces homemade pizza and pasta in their welcoming restaurant in Calascio. Their ravioli are the best in the area and they offer a takeaway service for homemade pizza. With limited seating, guests must make reservations a day or two in advance during the July to August holiday season. In low season it is recommended to call in advance to make sure the restaurant is open. Pizzeria Da Maria is located in Via della Sposa.
RISTORANTE DA CLARA
From homemade lentil soup to fresh garden salads to local lamb and pork specialities, the Michetti-Zippi family prepares all dishes with love. Da Clara is also the longest-running restaurant in Calascio, having been part of the town’s culinary fabric for over 30 years. It is located in Via Plaja, 14 located in the upper part of the town. While seating is plentiful, guests are encouraged to reserve in advance during the July through August holiday season.
There is a food van that visits selling items.
On the 5th August each year there is a festa to celebrate Pecorino cheese.
Nearby are the towns of Santo Stefano di Sessanio, a medieval village where many of the stone properties have been renovated and the slightly larger town of Ofena which has a mini market.
