The historic centre, enclosed within the perimeter walls, still exists and the town’s three gates point to its original status as a fortified village. It is also rich in churches, palaces, ancient monuments and valuable works of art.
Each year, at the end of July, is the renowned festival celebrating arrosticini (lamb skewers), truffles and wine. This is not to be missed.
The town also boasts bars, restaurants, a few shops and other essential services.
