The town of Montesilvano is just to the north of Pescara with a regular bus service between the two.
It is divided into two zones which comprise the older hill area (Montesilvano Colle) and the more modern beach area (Montesilvano Spiaggia).
The historic centre contains noble palaces, ancient houses and interesting churches whilst the newer area is a lively seaside town with all amenities such as banks and shops. It also offers a large choice of restaurants, pizzerias, bars, gelaterias and beachside lidos and is probably the most famous and best equipped seaside resorts of Abruzzo.
