Bucchianico is found in a charming position at a height of 330 metres above sea level. It is in the countryside amongst spectacular gullies and ravines together with well-tended vineyards and olive groves. There is also a delightful vista from the Maiella mountain to the Adriatic coast.
The village has early medieval origins and the historic centre is rich in ancient buildings. The main square was built at the beginning of the 1600’s and the village is known for its religious, historic and gourmet festivals which take place throughout the year.
With a population of 5,213 there are a few shops, restaurants, bars, banks and post office.
